Street & Waterfront Festivals

What: Celebrate summer and support local businesses during our FREE Third Thursday street festivals in Downtown Hopewell! Our festivals feature live bands, craft beverages from Dancing Kilt Brewery and Haleys Honey Meadery, food trucks, kid’s activities, vendors and community organizations and align with our nonprofit mission “to build a healthy, vibrant and more prosperous central downtown district for the Hopewell community.” DOWNLOAD 2023 Downtown Hopewell Festival Calendar HERE

When: Thursday, July 20th and Thursday, August 17th from 5-8pm. **Instead of throwing our own event in June, we ask that you kick off the summer with Hopewell Juneteenth Freedom Festival on Saturday, June 17th.**

Entertainment: July 20th: Zack Artis “Three Kings Blues Band.” August 17th: U&I Latin Band with dance lessons.

Where: 200 Block of E Broadway & Library Street. Navigate to the Appomattox Regional Library (209 E Cawson St). Free parking is available on the surrounding streets and in the adjacent lot.

Why: We create a welcoming, block-party-style atmosphere to demonstrate that Downtown is everyone’s place – to make memories, network, meet new friends, and let community pride shine. Come see for yourself how Third Thursdays make summertime in Hopewell extra local and extra special – for children and adults of all ages. Dogs are welcome on leashes.
