The 1st annual Downtown GetDown: Jazz and Art Festival was a big hit and brought live jazz, finger lickin’ good foods, and artwork to the streets of Downtown Hopewell. Surrounded by our historic Downtown Buildings, subtle notes of the saxophone, keyboard, and guitar filled the air. Classic Cars made decorative ornaments along the street, while local artists gave live demonstrations with their work on display. Being the first festival for the Downtown Partnership, a lot was learned, and the next festival is sure to be even bigger and better. Thanks to everyone who made this a historic event and we look forward to having more events and gatherings in Downtown as the revitalization begins.
